Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much for your comments and your help with a contest that made me work so hard!
I love love the shading on Lil's green bodice. How many shades is that anyway? It looks great.
Expressions with mouths open always intimidate me, but you are selling it very nicely.
I think it's actually good that your horizon isn't totally straight - I mean, it's the ocean, there are waves, and the color of the sky seems to indicate that the weather is a bit foul, so the choppy water works well.
I like the horizon as it is now but in the original I was told that it was slanted, and indeed it was! it looked like they were about to go over a waterfall. They have enough problems without a waterfall....
Thanks for the comment, love
I like the detail and the way you've applied the medium here. It feels quite simple in its background and stuff, but I think the atmosphere is still quite profound, especially with the urgency of the situation being so heavily portrayed to us here.
Great composition. I like how this feels like an illustration from a storybook as well.
I wanted to improve as much as possible without losing the life and urgency of the original . I am glad it still has that feel to it.
The details in this, the little pieces of hair, the rope fibers, are well done.
I think the most improvement is in the life and character of Lil's face - the angle is better, there is more motion and action in it, a better sense of urgency than before.
On a more laughabl note, Pietro is still bloody useless. Who invited him anyhow?
PS. ...I think Dimitri might now think he is a bit of a snake. Sorry about that?
He is not a snake, he's just stupid and 14.
