Sorry, DA buddies if I have not been paying you much attention. Real life is kind of beating me up and taking my lunch money, this week in the form of a cold.
Between that and working on my novel and getting ready for some big things in real life I just have not and, to tell the truth probably, will not have a lot of DA time for a little while

Of Apartments and Heeled Shoes
I haven't been here. Almost not at all, for almost two months.
There was a flurry activity a few weeks ago when I posted a drabble and some pictures. Two of them I am actually pretty proud of. Still, I have not looked much at any of your art or replied to things.
Tomorrow I am moving. When I get internet again I should be around more. It is really a problem of the commute time and the way this house is.
In the meantime I skimmed my inbox and saw some lovely things I am looking forward to commenting on.

Of Challenges, Word Prompts and Real Life
You guys may have noticed a certain lack of my presence. I have just started a new job. It is the kind of job that requires one to wear business dress and heeled shoes, commute to downtown every day and not be on the internet.
Or...at least not on sites of my choosing.
Right now I have a long commute so I will not be around much, but I still am working on word prompts and I even drew a single picture this month.
I am still accepting word prompts, by the by. Even those of you who have given me one before I will take them for! I have been doing them in a notebook on the bus but I will type them up and post them sooner or later.

Word Prompts
I am going to try some word prompts this week to get myself back on track with writing. This is not a new idea, it has gone around circles I travel in on LJ time and again. Most recently I am sure you have all seen it over with `doughboycafe (https://www.deviantart.com/doughboycafe)
The concept is that you give me a character name and a word. (Like: Dimitri - earring or Fisher - Shoplifting) A phrase is also acceptable (Such as Arisa - Man twice her age who needs to shave) I will then write a short bit of fiction about the character using the word as inspiration. I will be writing characters in the cast of my swashbuckler novel and the two or three Great War cha
One down....over nine thousand to go.
The first chapter of my swashbuckler novel is done! Much later than anticipated, but real life is often very inconsiderate of one's need to write.
I would really love some beta readers. It's still early in the process, so before I go on I want to know the following:
1. If the characters you have met so far and interesting and compelling.
2. If the way the story is presented makes you want to read on.
3. If Dimitri is or is not a total hottie
3. If the way the narritive is presented is easy to understand.
I have a few beta readers already but I really need some fresh people who don't know the characters to give it a go so I
